Thank you for the reply Nick!! Very handy to at least know that there is a private hangar in a beautiful spot! Over Lofty toward Adelaide....you must be Verdun/ Balhannah way? Looks just gorgeous! (Very different to our current world in Hong Kong!!) I do have a contact who has said he'd do draping of a hangar if I found one suitable! I'm still a long way off, not looking at dates before 2018, but wanted to get on the search early in case nothing was found and I had to get booked in at a venue instead. I didn't know of SkyPark - thank you, will look into it!

Hello everyone, An obscure question, and I might be a little crazy in being hopeful for an answer.. My fiance and I met whilst doing our pilots licenses many years ago, and he is now a commercial pilot working overseas. We are both from Adelaide Australia, and couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else. I have a vision of an old hangar, on a beautiful property, to use as a venue; seems perfectly fitting for who we are. But I'm at a loss in finding anything suitable in South Australia. Hoping I'm not posting this in the wrong place, but wondered if anyone here had any suggestions, know of anyone, or has any advice, as to where I might find something nice? (I was hoping to keep it within about 3 hours drive of Adelaide, could include Kangaroo Island also). I feel like there would surely be a nice spot in the Barossa or somewhere, that someone may have a private strip & hangar that they might be willing to rent to a dreaming future bride.. *Giant generic hangars/machinery sheds like the ones at Parafield and Aldinga are not really what I'm after.
