The film uncovers the rich history of this airport - Amelia Earhart broke a world speed record over its runways, Marilyn Monroe was discovered while working in its hangars, and scenes from Casablanca were filmed on its grounds. Almost every type of aircraft has graces its runways, from the primitive airplanes of the 1920's to the state-of-the-art business jets of today. Interesting...Since posting this thread yesterday, I have had threatening emails from another forum owner who obviously doesn't like me selling this DVD so cheap.

I will continue to offer fellow pilots and aviation enthusiasts this DVD and other gift ideas at cost price - no threats will stop that! Bullying may work with some people, but I certainly do not allow 'bullies' to intimidate me!

<edit - I have just reduced the price more now  >

Its cheaper then cost now :D

If you choose to sell something at the price you set then you should be allowed to. Keep doing what your doing Chris.

If I didn't have this DVD I would buy it. Although, I leant it to a mate and haven't got it back yet

I had also purchased a copy and had the opportunity to watch it over the Christmas break.

I thought it was a fantastic DVD and well worth every cent and it's the sort of thing you would pull out every now and again.

The historical content of the airport was amazing. I have landed there are a few times and it is just another airport but when you know the background I will go there with a new appreciation next visit and probably have a good walk around reminiscing over the DVD.

It is such an interesting place and I know the market would not cover the cost but it would be great to see something like this done by some of our airports like Kingsford Smith and others. There is something special about seeing planes parked in cow pastures with hundreds of people around them and then 50 years later they are an international airport.

Perhaps one day someone will get a government grant to do something similar for our airports.

Glad you liked it Steve and Well said Michael...it would be great to have something like that done with our history here in Australia and to bring attention to the need of GA airports in Australia - we seem to be going the American way and closing them down for their land value.

I must admit when I first saw this DVD I had tears in my eyes - it was very emotional!

I love to watch it every now and again...I love it!
