Is anyone else observing the wonderful lightning activity in Sydney and Western NSW at the current time? Absolutely fantastic (but then again, I am a storm-head). :) It is approaching from the West at the current time (I am in Western Sydney) and seems to be tracking to the NE. Has to be a few strikes every few seconds. Ian, can we have a weather-section for such discussions as I am sure a few of us are interested. :)

Cheers

http://www.weatherzone.com.au/

Is also a good site. On the free standard membership you get quite a bit of data and the satellite and radar images with lightning overlay are much better than the BOM site. If you are into lightning try this one:

And this one:

There is some more info on my home page and weather forums. Enjoy.

We missed out again Darren . Had a good display of lightning this morning though , from about 0500 to 0630 and a fair bit of the wet stuff too .

It was a little bit too !! . I was over there most of the morning , no flying happening , worst luck . However , some kind soul has aerated the runway , all we need now is rain , and we should have a nice surface to land on ... Lets not hold our breath though !! .

Bar room? Now you are talking 006_laugh.gif.0f7b82c13a0ec29502c5fb56c616f069.gif;) Mate, wherever is more appropriate. Maybe a thread titled weather/storms wherever you think is appropriate.I think it would be great for current weather 'events' be it storms etc etc. Cheers and thanks.
