vertex 710 intercom

After a bit of help please I'm getting frustrated, bought a vertex 710 and I want to use it with an intercom. I bought a PA200Y minicom which was suppose to fit to vertex's but doesn't.

 

The supplier is happy to give me a refund but there must be an answer to this problem or maybe their not compatable with an intercom.

here is some info that I have been able to get from a master in the know,

 

Please take note of "it needs careful adjustment"

"the 710 is the same as a VXA220 for connection purposes however it doesnt have a side tone so the volume control controls the side tone . It just needs careful adjustment but otherwise its fine."
