One of my habits of putting an aircraft away after flying is loosen and lift oil dipstick to allow any moisture in oil to evaporate and after the plane is packed up I replace and do up dip stick.

I would have thought that the moisture would have already evaporated on a hot engine if the o/t were 85 c +

 

The condensation comes back as the engine get cold, ie during a cold night

Avocet. You might think that but, lycombing engines rust the cam shaft lobes, well that's what happened to a friend of mines 235, so it's important to either reduce moisture or use it more . The later is what I would like to do .
