Were do we stand in Australia landing on waterways, do they need to be declared as landing areas or can I just bolt the floats on and rip over to Copeton Dam for and afternoon BBQ and pick my spot? Ultralights Posted February 13, 2014 Share Posted February 13, 2014 from my understanding, as long as the waterway is classed as navigable for boating, then it can be used by a float plane of flying boat.
