First solo

Congrats John, hope it was the experience you hoped it would be! You have crossed the threshold to the pilots side of the house and can never be a non-pilot again.

Enjoy the learning journey ..... It never stops.

You are always forced to make a landing at some time once you have got the thing up there by yourself. Best not to think about it too hard in the first solo. Just keep yourself occupied doing what you were taught. Did your instructor mention how much better the plane would fly, with less weight in it? Nev

Thanks Nev, yes Kieth did explain that 80kg less would make the plane fly more but I was still surprised

When it got in the air in no time and my first touch and go seemed to float on for ever .

I talk to myself all the time and I've always got my pocket sized check list handy.
