Blenners06 Posted July 19, 2015 Share Posted July 19, 2015 Hi All, Just a quick intro. Started RA Aus training a month ago (Goulburn Avaiation) in the Gazelle. First two lessons completed but will have to change to Sportstar as I'm a wee bit to tall for the Gazelle (my knees half block some instruments and I cannot get full deflection left or right with the stick, also my head is cocked sideways as well (I'm 6' 3''). Looking forward to the Sportstar. I work offshore so its very hard to get time in for training (I work 28 days on rig 28 days off rig) and my instructor only teaches on Saturdays. Also I live in Canberra and this is the closest place I can fly! So far having heaps of fun. My father was a Qualified Flying instructor (A4 Skyhawks back when we had a Fleet air arm in the Navy) so its good to have someone help me when I dont understand something.
