Aerial Testing in South Australia?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know of an Avionics Technician near Adelaide I can get my aerial installation tested? I am only Ra Aus registered so I can't fly into Parafield.

Maybe give AES avionics a call at Parafield and see if they can send a tech out somewhere.

Most likelly cost a bit more though.

I think, but am not sure , that Lyndon at Custom Aircraft Maintenance at Goolwa may have a meter to measure output. If not, I am sure that he could recommend someone locally,

Cheers Peter

Thanks for your reply, what does AES stand for?

Not sure, but maybe something like "Aviation Electronic Services"

Jakej from these forums may be able to help. His business is AeroAssist in Adelaide and he is a very experienced avionics installer. He may have the required equipment.

Sorry mate, in Melbourne but I am always away.

I am sure if you give AES or Pulse avionics a call they could help.

I am sure they could have a tech meet you somewhere and I am sure they would know a private strip nearby.

Ralf, I'm out of town at moment, call me 0412 624723 - I have the test capability.

Thanks for all your suggestions, it turned out the areial was ok all SWR values below 2 and it was the radio that has a problem, so I've returned it to xcom for repair. I'm going to plug my handheld into my areial and see if I can go for a fly this weekend anyway!
