Flying VH registered aircraft and vice versa?

Just wondering, if you hold a RAA licence, are you able to fly a VH registered aircraft? Let's just say it's the exact same type that you've been flying under your RAA licence but this particular one has a VH registration.

Conversely, if someone has a PPL/CPL, can they under any circumstance pilot a RAA registered aircraft? From what I've read, this is a no? Not even if it's an aircraft that they're familiar and have flown in?

G'day Lazerin,

the answer is NO.

If you want to fly a VH a/c then you need a PPL or CPL or ATPL or be a Student Pilot doing your stuff under the rules.

If you want to fly an RAA a/c then you must have an RAA pilot certificate or student pilot certificate or be under instruction.

Regards

Mike
