Hello all.

Have been a fan of flying since I read my first Biggles book as a kid.

Life got In the way and I didn't learn to fly.

A few years ago did an introductory flight in a Beech 77, vh-jis.

More recently, my job a s a PC repair guy had me meeting up with some local pilots and renewed my interest.

The budget doesn't allow for formal lessons but it doesn't hurt to do some informal learning, theory etc.

Recently had a flight in a Tecnam and the opportunity has arisen to go up with an ex military pilot in a similar plane.

Can't wait .

If you can join an aero club that operates RAA aircraft the cost can be as low as $85 plus the instructor per hour, it's money well spent.

Chasnee, there is a demand for instrument techs who understand computers , since micro-processors are becoming common in avionics.

Hi Chas and welcome to the forum.

Lismore aero is a pretty good club and instructors if down the track you get the inkling to sus out what's involve in the training side of things.

Cheers Guy.
