New AeroVonics instruments (AvWeb vid)

Recommended Posts

Hmmm... I would love one of these in my bird!  The AV-30 could nicely replace my crappy ADI, but I am wondering what the rules are considering my bird is 24 registered??

You need a "letter of approval, (LOA)" from mfg or change rego to E-LSA. (No hire/reward for e-lsa)

I don't think I do actually.  Its not a primary instrument, and none of them are coming out.  No different from installing a clock!

Nothing to stop you adding any instrument to your plane. You may not be able to delete an existing instrument.

They are aimed at GA aircraft as stand by equipment as well as experimental.

Thanks Yenn.  I will not be removing any primary instruments.  I may choose to remove the old crapp Tru Trak, as it's playing up.  Not vital, so I could simply remove it all together!  But why not replace with this flashy new instrument.  😄

182 AH is a bit out and 56 years young. Maybe when STC model is available it would be a good replacement.

looks good and seems very functional.

You would have to order it from the USA - it's $1300 USD
