I used the Dyson-Holland books and found them quite good. Plenty of detail, and more than one explanation for some aspects. ie Aerodynamics explained with an example, but also explained mathematically for those that might be that way inclined.I skipped over the maths formulas as it was too much for me, but could see that they might be helpful for people that are good at maths.

That's a great house with a moat. I love seeing those kind of things from the sky and wondering what kind of people live there.

Hi, no I haven't looked at an IF yet, as it's not done at my school. I'm sure it'll get done somewhere down the track, but I'll try and find the elusive first flying job first.

The news tonight said that it is pending an investigate into the effect on traffic (the land kind). So again, no big change... yet. Still see the occasional twin taking off there when I drive past though.

From what they said on the news, this approved development is different to the original, and CASA have stated that it still allows Belmont Airport to be used. So it sounded like it was a win for both sides. I guess we'll just have to wait and see I guess.

Sorry to bring up an old topic, but I saw a bit on NBN news tonight that a development had been approved across the road from the airport. It looks like apartments, but they also made a point that this development leaves the airport as still usable. There was a council member saying that he hopes to see pilot training there happen in the future, and the CCAC was mentioned. So there's still hope for that strip!

It's such a nice airport too. I drive past it every time I go to Warnervale. I've only seen an aircraft taking off there once though. Let's hope the airport survives.
