  1. I uploaded some plans a few years back, someone asked me about them recently, iv found this it may help a few searching for plans http://aircraftplans.net/ admin delete if not allowed
  2. Awesome Doco good to hear the story's from the old boys! and Good to see some RAAF footage
  3. cri cri plans hi all attached is a link to the plans that i uploaded! they are full size so all you have to do is go to office works and print out on AO. MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service or if obove doesnt work as stated above the wing area will need to be increased so i can be raaus registerd.
  4. damn it i just found out about the course, when will the next one be held???
  5. thanks for the heads up dugg thats actually where i got my info from, the foam i would use is green urethane which isnt too heavy and has a good track record in composite aircraft.
  6. sorry i should of posted an update earlier, i would shape a structual foam core to exact plan specs, i would cut the foam length ways at the same place where the main spar would go. then I would use a fiberglass I beam as the main spar and cover with two plys of bidirectional matting run at oposite directions.
  7. thanks for the tips guys, ill stick with what im doing, its just that at this rate im only getting a lesson in every three weeks and i am forgetting little things. which is a little frustrating
  8. i know what most people will say about training on two aircrafts, but im going to ask anyway?? is it adviseable???? my thinking is it is actually healthy, although i am still a little green behinde the ears, i recon that training on two aircrafts would help in the long run. I wouldnt expect to go solo on 20hrs combined time for the both aircraft, but say around 30-40hrs combined, or the right answer is when im ready. the reason for this crazy endvour is that my time is spent 3-4 weeks in one place and 2-3 weeks in te other. im currently training on a pioneer 200, and am thinking of training on a jab also. is this a stupid idea?? what do experianced pilots think???
  9. hi all recently i purchased some plans, i was thinking of building composite wings instead of wood and covering, so i would cut some foam using a hot wire cutter etc, but my questions being how many ply of f/glass matting and how would i build in a main wing spar as they will be removeable, has anyone had experiance with composite wings??? cheers
