    hi all i have a gauge filled with moisture & a burn mark on the screen so i need to up-grade (expensive ) or hope i can find a 2nd hand servicable unit to replace mine so if you have done an up-grade recently & have a unit you know that is working then i would be interested in aquiring it or another from anyone i also so have a becker radio (3/14 round hole model ) that failed with an "E3 " error code, does anyone know the Becker error codes ?? would be nice to know why it failed same deal interested in a replacement rather than a n expensive new one let me know what is around thanks lyle

    hi all i have never been able to make the bing choke work ,there doesn`t seem to be any indication that it is doing something has anyone used any of the cold start kits on offer or know which one is better than another there is 3 or 4 that i see is avail they all seem to up-grade the spark capability in different ways i`ve always thought that an aftermarket ignition up-grade would be a good idea any way & if easier cold starts were achieved that would be an added bonus then

    hi today at sunrise i prepared for an early start in the tropics . i pressed the starter ( no start ) ring a friend & discover during discussion that the jabiru wont start cold (carb temp 16C) need to heat the air so wait for sun to warm air ,delay departure by 2 hrs & now warmer eng starts instantaneously my question to you all is will the electric carb heat device that is avail solve my problem or is there another solution ? what do you do for your cold start especially in the tropics

    thanks i find it unbelievable that you have to make your own exhaust replacement when there is a whole lot of whoha about replacing the wooden propeller with their own scimatar prop but do what ever you like with the exhaust go figure

    hi all i recently found my exhaust system has major work needed holes in pipes /cracks in welds /& list goes on . when checking with Jabiru they no longer supply exhaust parts apart from flanges (expensive ) my options seem to be seek a pre-loved system from some one or see who can provide info on custom shops that can build from plan or samples ( jabiru are able to provide plans to DIY your own fabrication) which may help another fabricator i currently need a muffler/collector & RHF exhaust header/ pipe but will consider all offers your helpful ideas /suggestions PLEASE so i can get flying again.

    hi skippy belite was the aircraft side of the business before a major fire radiant was the in struments. the instruments were all he was left with after fire . ive used the low level system although i never had it activate ,i have a twin tank gauge set-up ( which i haven`t used i will bench run it sometime to see how well it works ) i`m surprised that james wasn`t able to give you satisfaction with your issues , he was always very much a hands-on person

    hi i have used a low level warning sensor from these guys . they have good customer focus & can not do enough to help see the range of gauges / sensors it take s fuel management to a new level/ thinking i have a dual fuel guage /sender set ( previous model ) which i was going to fit to my jabiru but won`t currently with the dynon but maybe if i feel an up-grade /replacement is needed https://www.radiantinstruments.com/#top this may help in your quest for knowledge

    hi my description seems to be confusing some of you the tubing has a spring coil on the inside to stop it collapsing & a thread wound up the spiral on outside to maintain integrety of pipe . it connects the carbir to airbox & airbox to intake duct there is also a smaller Dia pipe supplying hot air to carby when it has been cut to length there is no terminnation of wire or thread leading to eventual soft end which is hard to push on pipe & then secure with hoseclip see attach photo of pipe type i was referring to it may well have a more technical name

    hi current replacement cost of a 2200 engine cooler is $495 another contributor pointed to a unit in the states priced at approx $260AU similar units supplied from aust around 1/2 price it has an impact in lower LH region of cooler (see white mark )which has split the core . this was lucki;ly discovered after a short flight before the sump emptied this is the version of cooler i`m looking for , the offerings so far would all need a modified bkt to fit & time to fit in the bush + time which i`m short of planning trip to town in 3 weeks so need a direct fit replacement even if reluctantly have to shell for the expensive one

    hi as i`m stuck in a remote location i don`t have all i need to mod mounts etc to fit any of the current offered coolers this would need a new set of brackets to fit & possibly other refinements . the other off a 6 cyl similiar work to fit (brackets etc ) so i think i`m stuck with the gold plated jabiru version thanks for your time lyle

    hi all is it best to stick with ryco filters or have you used another successfully your thoughts on other brands ie cooper /wesfil /sakura using on Jab engine

    hi all there is an operator using the guise of a legit govt agency who has been suspectedof grog & drug running they seem to have the community on side (ready supply antedotal evidence ) police etc have been made aware& on the case . concerned agencies want to build a case without showing their hand at this point for the relevant authorities to then prosecute just a thought would some sort ofADS-B receiver & an APP to log activity for later review ?

    hi all can i have your low cost solution ( if any)to monitor aircraft arrivals at a very remote regional airport i want to see if unusual activity is happening at any time mainly out of hours which may be illegal or not & be able to identify aircraft rego `s to prosecute if necessary give me something to ponder please
