  1. I agree well said Caz, getting rid of the Tech manager was the wurst thing they could of done, specialy when he knew what was going on.
  2. Andy can a video conference count as being at the meeting, people who cannot attend may be able to organize a video conference at the local aero club or function facility and the cost should be paid by RA-Aus as it is beneficial that as many people can be present to hear what will happen and vote, we may have to have an official present at each video conference location but it would be worth organising to save our great Organisation from any more abuse by the exec and board. Just an idea"
  3. Why don't you read the Tech Managers Duty Statement in the Tech Manual. It's not an engineering position and having someone with 20 plus years working on all types of GA and Defence aircraft (hands on) is better than a pen pusher engineer. I have worked with Adam on and off over the last ten years on our RA-Aus and AUF aircraft, he was more concerned about safety and aeronautical practices than most LAME,s being a LAME my self I am quite happy to say that. Does the treasurer need to be an accountant or the president a politician, we need to look at the plebs that are controlling our great Organisation not the ones who actually were doing there job, as I have said on another post I know of some horrible skeletons in our closet that have not appeared yet, now is the time to have the exec dumped and put someone like John Gardon who used to run things back in, he was heading us in the right direction for our growing Organisation.
  4. The funny thing is the President has known all along the issues with the RA-Aus Technical Department since doing the to the old Tech manager what he did to Adam Finn. Make the exec open all the flood gates on all the current legal actions and ones that are coming so the members know what is really going on in their Organisation then see how long they last, I think we have more storms brewing and nasty ones at that.
  5. Sorry all I am a bit forum illiterate, I meant to reply to John and say the Tech manager was sacked with no reason and did not resign. Will work out what went wrong and fix the formating - Mod Done - Use the report post button if it's not to your satisfaction.
  6. So who is keen to create a real organization that is run by the members for the members and not a buch of clowns. Adam I'm sure would be able to help out on the technical side, I'm sure Zane or Jill could handle operations. The regulations are in place already so all we need is a body of people to support the birthing process. It can,t hurt as most of us will be grounded soon and just before Xmas too. Thanks RA-Aus board you guys rock.
  7. E/LSA are not 19-xxxx they are E24-xxxx as they are not amateur built ie:19-xxxx. I think it's in the RA-Aus technical manual, just happen to be talking early this week with the Tech guys at the RA-Aus office.
  8. In flight adjustable prop you mean, can't fit a constant speed to any of our engines unless they are lycomings or continentals.
  9. I think we should just chill and have faith in the staff on the front line, like the girls in the office and the tech manager, ops manager and the admin manager that are the ones holding the RA-Aus together while the elected board members sit back and watch it all collapse. What ever happens after Monday we should all support the front line workers that have to put this back together. From a conversation I have had with the TM on Friday it's going to be a paperwork nightmare so we should strap in for the ride.
  10. Just got off the phone tonight with the TM, and all aircraft transfers, renewals and new rego,s are on hold till CASA notify them. Seems the paperwork over the last 5 years or so is up to crap. Seems we better enjoy this weekend of flying it could be the last for a while. :(
  11. True, just buy an amateur built aircraft in the first place.
  12. Certified aircraft cannot be changed to experimental just by putting a different engine in. Type certified need a Reg 35 approval and factory built LSA need the manufacturers approval to do the mod. Look into this before spending $20 k on a mod.
