I'm not an Ambulance chaser here or in the old country, But to me, What you did was a clear cut case of "Self defence" And that is a legal defence for any action. Regardless of the fact that it was also the right thing to do. Good call. Darren

Lessons to learn from the ditching of an LSA over water
daza replied to NinjaNate's topic in AUS/NZ General Discussion
Never have I seen a more appropriate T-shirt ... It takes him 30 min to list all the things he did wrong, Then he concludes that there is nothing to be learned from it, nothing to do differently... -
The real RA Aus to PPL conversion deal
daza replied to rrogerramjet's topic in Student Pilot & Further Learning
I would be very interested to hear from someone who has done both the "RAAus to RPL" and then the "RPL to Ppl" and whether they found the intermediate step worthwhile? Has anyone done this yet? -

We used to call the 80's the Greed decade. Our local council went looking for a developer to build houses inside our airport.

Light plane crash at Terminal Drive, Bilinga
daza replied to HeliPilot70's topic in Aircraft Incidents and Accidents
I would have thought in a lighty, if you knew the gear was staying up, you want to divert somewhere quiet? Maybe even grassy? -

Which 8" andriod tablets operate on GPS only.
daza replied to Blueadventures's topic in Instruments, Radios and Electronics
This is incorrect. Many cheaper Android tablets do not have GPS. I'm not aware of any Android tablet that has GPS and requires a network connection. However, some will take minutes(up to 20) not seconds to connect when out of sync. Daza -
My extraordinary plane build ...
daza replied to bexrbetter's topic in Aircraft Building and Design Discussion
Would a design cruise speed and horsepower be giving too much away? Daza -
Hey! I resemble that remark! Daza

The trike that you're worried about that's 20 Nm away, is about 20 minutes away. Daza

I was once advised that a wing swap between 95.32 trikes would be a major mod that would not be difficult to register, IF it was done with BOTH manufacturers approval. The problem with this is that Airborne have been reported to have stated that they will not approve any wing swaps outside of their factory options. Daza

Hi Soleair, Thanks for the first hand report, there are a few engines out there but not much in the way of direct comparisons. Did you consider the Hirth range? If so what do you see as the advantages of the MZ? Thanks Darren

Wouldn't it be logical, given recent events, For a commercial pilot who is displaying anger issues, to be grounded until it can be confirmed that he is in a fit condition to fly? But if his employer has sacked him, without providing any support, that would be disgraceful. Darren.

daza replied to Rotorwork's topic in Aircraft Incidents and Accidents
But what good would even a "Black Box" be? If there is an investigation, no results are released anyway. darren -
