I started flying in 1965 and "affirmative" was commonly used. Those were the days of full reporting and I think that requirement helped create a higher standard of radio use.....call me old fashioned!
Lawrie Hutton has achieved his goal to fly to the four extreme points on the Australian mainland.
The local TV station spoke with him on his arrival home yesterday.
He still has to fly to Wilsons Promontory, been delayed for several reasons, weather being the main obstacle. He plans to fly that final leg in the very near future.
Well, Lawrie has reached three of his destinations despite several delays due to weather and electrical problems.
"I am back "on air” after visiting the far west. I am currently waiting on a three day clear weather envelope, so as to make a dash to overfly Wilsons Promontory, the fourth and final of my planned exteme compass points in my “adventure”. However, that said, it is good to be home for a few days."
Lawrie.
I agree with RKM, you should find an experienced instructor and revise the effects of power and attitude and how to apply them to achieve a correct approach. Blackboard first then go flying with him.
