  1. Hi Robert I also fly a CTLS and found for any info related to the Flight Design aircraft models you should try this forum Flight Design CTSW CTLS CTLSi C4 Forum They have been very helpful to many CT flyers
  2. I got an email replay from Ozrunway yesterday and the wifi connectivity is not a priority for them . Down loaded AvPlan a couple days a go and the download flight plans trough wifi on the Skyview works perfect Afther a couple days navigating myself true AvPlan I'm nearly on the same level of proficiency and with some better features, however I did notice a lot more traffic displayed on Ozrunway than AvPlan this has probably to do with Ozrunway having more prescribers. So at the moment if you have a Skyview system in your aircraft and using the mapping feature I believe AvPlan is the way to go and that's where I'm going .
  3. I've have been using ozrunway since I started flight training some 4 years ago and have become very familiar with it. I have just this week upgraded the software in my Dynon Skyview to the latest version and attached the Ozrunway Hybrid VFR map to the Skyview After a bid more (but not enough) research I purchased the Skyview wifi dongle to down load flight plans from Ozrunway to Skyview by Wifi. I got the idea it could be done after I seen above page on the Dynon website. I just got conformation from Ozrunway that they don't support wifi connection to Skyview Now I do believe that Avplan does support this and if I get conformation of this I will change to Avmap when my Ozrunway runs out. I'm not looking forward to learning a new EFB, but having a Dynon Skyview auto pilot the Wifi feature would be very handy.
  4. Just a question about Icon ,will it be an LSA aircraft here in Australia ? Because it's over 600 kg MTOW exemption is only FAA approved . Or can it only fly at 600kg here.
  5. As a CTLS owner I follow the ctflier.com forum and there is a discussion on what brought this on. http://ctflier.com/index.php?/topic/3621-flight-design-insolvency/
  6. I started my flight training in RA and moved on to GA , I've been checked out in a Tecnam,Flight Design CTLS and Cessna 172 I've registered my CTLS in GA and have not renewed my RAA pilot certificate. All I fly now is my LSA Flight Design CTLS with my PPL licence but I'm not allowed to fly a RAA registered Tecnam or CTLS because I don't hold a current pilot certificate ,or am I ? One big advantage of flying GA is I'm flying in safer GA airspace .
  7. All you need is the fuel bladder from turtlepac http://www.turtlepac.com/products/bush-plane-long-range-fuel-bladder.html
  8. Only suspended for a week http://www.flyingmag.com/news/faa-ends-brief-pipistrel-import-ban
  9. It's a EKW C 3605 Swiss aircraft ,build for the Swiss airforce last used for towing targets. Any way that's what Google tells me when typing in the rego. Karl
  10. I can see why he made this mistake .He made some assumptions on seeing a person in the aircraft sitting on the right hand side being at least twice the age of the one on the left hand side. He could have assume that the aircraft is piloted from the right hand ,it is sometimes done. Or he assumed that the person on the right hand was the instructor making him the pilot in command . His assumptions just didn't work out for him.
  11. Hi teckair I'm new to this side and new to flying and normaly only read and not commend on post because my limited piloting time However I also get a bit frustrated with this. I can compare turning a propeller around and trying to go from tractor to pusher with a fan I had in my piggery and with not much thinking turned the blade around to try to change it from sucking to blowing. When I turned the power back I found that the air was still moving the same direction. I think you could only use a propeller form a tractor configuration on to pusher if the pusher engine turned the opposite direction of the tractor engine viewed from the fly wheel end,or the engine has a flywheel on both ends where a prop could be bolted on.
