The UK and Australia?
Well, for the present I'm mostly located in the UK, but originally from Australia. I do some flying out of Blackbushe in the UK, located just to the South West of London. However, even though I only spend about 1/5 of my time in Australia, I probably do 50% of my flying out of Scone in the Hunter Valley, NSW.
I originally gained my PPL at Scone in 1991, but then didn't do much flying for a number of years. Instead my time and money went on motorcycle racing. In the last 3 years, I've come back to flying somewhat. My Australian PPL is fine, within its limits, for flying G registered aircraft within the UK's airspace. Although that may change with new EASA requirements in 2012, which aren't entirely clear yet. Most of my experience is in a C182.
Recently I've made an aviation business investment back in Scone, and you'll find that Scone Aircraft Maintenance is now under new management.
