  1. The D10A has alot more features than the D6. I find the most beneficial to be the wind vectors when talking to your GPS, not to mention HSI, OAT, TAS and Gmeter etc. A very impressive unit. I was worried about readability in bright sunlight as mine is in a Pioneer 200. No issues.. perfectly readable
  2. Great Photos. Hopefully others might want to do the same trip.. you will have to repeat it in the Pioneer soon!. I will pass the ventilation issues to Phil.
  3. There is a good aviation museum at ashburton (80K away) which has very good displays. Open on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Thay even have a harrier in display!
  4. Congratulations! you wont regret it. Now you can get to experience 2 great microlights. I too was somewhat forced into the Jabby but have no regrets. Good move
  5. Im from Canterbury NZ. Great Flying Conditions from Flat Plains to towering Mountains 20min away. What a great Web site! so much info.. Learnt on a pterodactyl many years ago and after a 15yr break, I have got the bug again. I currently fly a Pioneer 200, Jabiru J160 (both with Jabiru engines) and occassionly a Rans coyote. Love the 1st two. Cant decide which one more. Also starting on a new Pioneer 300. The 300 is a beautiful plane but need to keep an eye on oil temp as it is inclined to run hot... unlike the earlier ones which run cold. still trying to find out the differences. both are Rotax 912s.
