  1. Have had 2 , first a VH regd nose wheel with 80 HP rotax....very easy to fly in all respects. Being only half span ailerons , not super responsive in roll compared to a long-ez I have owned. Then had a tail wheel model with jab 2200. Similar except just a bit more care on landing. It was changed over to raaus eventually. Both engines send them along happily at 105 knots IAS. No nasty surprises that I ever experienced. Just prefer the long ez....but not as passenger friendly.
  2. Gary was one of my flying mates from way back....we learned in a Drifter at South Grafton about the same time, both into bikes and we both flew paragliders together. Sad loss to a lovely family.
  3. WILL I BE ABLE TO RUN 4 STRAIGHT THRU EXHAUST PIPES (no mufflers)....WITH OR WITHOUT SOME SMALL INTERNAL BAFFLING INSIDE THE PIPES? All thoughts appreciated!
  4. Go to general forums scetion at the top and scroll down to Aust and NZ section and you'll see it as AUSt and NZ classifieds:super hero:
  5. HAVEN'T LOOKED AT THE PLANE YET ...WANTED TO BE FORE ARMED RE THE MOTOR WHICH IS NOT WORTH SPENDING TIME ON AS I SUSPECTED. JUST A BIT OF AUSSIE AVIATION HISTORY NOW. STILL DECIDING ON THE U2...HOPEFULLY SOMEONE ELSE WILL BUY IT AND PUT ME OUT OF MY MISERY. HAVEN'T GOT THE SPARE CASH TO RE-ENGINE AT PRESENT BUT THE PLANE WAS A CHEAP PROJECT. ON ANOTHER TOPIC HAS ANYONE SEEN THE MZ RANGE OF 2 STROKERS? THEY HAVE BEEN AROUND A LONG TIME MZ. SEE Compact Radial Engines FOR MAYBE THE SUCCESSOR TO THE ROTAXES ROB
  6. So definitely not one to spend time on. Sounds like a re-engining project. Thanks for that....the brainstrust comes thru again! Rob
  7. skylark Not sure! Can't seem to find anything on the net search. this one 320cc and fitted to a Mitchell U2 wing Rob

  10. The dyslexic agnostic insomniac....... used to lie awake in bed all night wondering if there really was a dog!
  11. Stewarts strip Really only a one way strip ....approach from the east. Large gum trees on the north side mean very mean wind shear in a northerly wind. A slow, high drag ultralight could make it in from west. Rob
