  1. Hello to all 002_wave.gif.62d5c7a07e46b2ae47f4cd2e61a0c301.gif

after a long time from the latest news on the project "VFR on LARIO"

I wish like to inform you that, thanking the work of an enthusiast simmer,

it is possible to make a "conversion", to fly "VFR on Lario" with Flight Simulator X too.

On the following see the link to a "guide", where the installer simply summarizes what done to achieve the purpose.

    VFR on Lario_FSx.pdf

Unfortunately, still flying with the old and dear FS9, I'll be not in conditiones to provide more details or specifications.

    best greeting from Lake Como

I'd like to report to the interested people for a free scenery (FS2004)

for the Polo Industriale S. Martino.

this is a place where all the flights for Milan International airport

cross over, to approaching and landing Malpensa airport.

    enjoy

  3. ... "VFR on Lario" project, a FREE work for FS9 just completed last year, after a work of two year.... Aldo

    Greetings to all

It is my duty to inform you that our invitation to donate freely to LISM is meant unfortunately now fallen.

I received today the confirmation of disinterest to our initiative. I just remember that this invitation was with the project VFR on Lario, with the elevations for Europe for Italy by Daniele Lanfranchi and in several of our other sceneries.

Here below the communication received, with related motivations

<< We are hereby notify that no donation is ever received to our Association, therefore we do not intend to renew as authorized by Dr. Cimino. As President of the ITALIAN LEAGUE SCLEROSIS MULTIPLE I confirm that it is no longer of interest to carry out your request. Sincerely, the president Maria Emanuele >>

I would still like to invite, even if no longer Vs. this address, all those who want to donate a free contribution, even if minimal, to benefit non-profit Associations.

I will certainly report the web addresses as soon as possible.

Help them to fly with us.

    Aldo

  4. Hi all

Even with a "slight delay"035_doh.gif.37538967d128bb0e6085e5fccd66c98b.gif, I inform the interested people that have long been available

elevations Western Europe for FS9 (LOD8-LOD11) and Italy for FSX (LOD13).

Downloads can be freely performed by the Italian portal Tuttovola, here

    Download FS mesh Free

Only for Europe FS9, for those who have difficulty in downloading, you can have with sharable link directly to DropBox all .bgl already unpacked . This unfortunately, up to 15/3 because after DropBox will disable the function 051_crying.gif.fe5d15edcc60afab3cc76b2638e7acf3.gif. It will be possible for anyone that will have a DropBox account 020_yes.gif.58d361886eb042a872e78a875908e414.gif.

  5. Hi to all 002_wave.gif.62d5c7a07e46b2ae47f4cd2e61a0c301.gif

I'd like to add a thing with this argument, as I asked somewhere (not here) how to to for placing a Briefing note inside the kneeboard.

despite no answer received 049_sad.gif.af5e5c0993af131d9c5bfe880fbbc2a0.gif, at the end looking a bit in the folders of the Flight Simulator program, I found a way to accomplish what I wanted. As expected, the document is to be integrated on the flight and not in the aircraft folder.

Here's a little video of the result

I say no more now, but I will go deep if anyone will be interested

    bye

  6. Greetings to all virtual pilots ... and even real ones.002_wave.gif.62d5c7a07e46b2ae47f4cd2e61a0c301.gif

I open this topic to talk about electronic Kneeboard, that you use during the flight with the available information (briefings, ATC communications, flight plan, controls, the aircraft checklist and references).

And, just in relation to the last two items (many aircraft, both default that available on the web, already have the checklist and reference files) I inform you that there is also an utility with more than 320 files for this purpose,

which can be simply used to replace the existing or to add them if missing (often by downloading from the Web).

It provides a table (Excel) that identifies all treaties aircraft.

Most of the files integrates images and data taken by courtesy granting of Eurocontrol 011_clap.gif.c796ec930025ef6b94efb6b089d30b16.gif, the Aircraft Performance Database editor.

This utility should be available soon (AvSim, FlighSim portals and, I hope, also in Italy)

I'm confident to meet some interest, and also I hope to find friends that can improve by integrating some with missing data (in particular with the information relating to the speed of the flaps extension, missing in many cases).

Thank you to the interested people and even more to those who will contribute 011_clap.gif.c796ec930025ef6b94efb6b089d30b16.gif to the improvement.

  7. Europe: shorter routes. From the Greek peninsula to the Iberia; then in french land and up to the British island, by then route to Scandinavia; so Netherlands, German Hesse, Switzerland till the return for Italy, in the Venetian lagoon; then the italian capital and Home, where we started, 50 flights ago (more than 63,000 miles and almost 150 hours of course ... virtual!)

The trip is finished and, taking the opportunity, I would like to send my best wishes for a Merry Christmas 020_yes.gif.58d361886eb042a872e78a875908e414.gif and a happy new year, better than the previous ones

  8. ... from central America we come down to the Andes, to the Pampas and Brazil; then we fly over the Atlantic Ocean with a stop in South Africa to go up to the islands east; cross back again central Africa to the west, then up to the northern zone, to go back east toward the pyramids and beyond the Arabian Peninsula; we leave Africa for Europe: route to the Aegean ...

  9. Hi all

some more steps of the World Tour (including Tokyo-Sydney)

    06)

... and few words relating to the videos prepared for each flight.

First of all, it should be emphasized the aim: to show the aircraft used, by type, livery and flight deck, as well as the target setting as visible (the videos are mainly limited to the approach/landing).

It does not claim to "show off flight technique"; the author, although big fan of flight simulation, does not have great skills as a pilot and has often found difficulties, so as to "crash-down" badly in some cases (even if limited, and "undocumented" ... for decency) ; exception landing in Venice (step 48) where in landing the ART72 has "scratched" in the queue ... giving off some smoke: since there are no consequences for passengers and crew, the movie has been kept up.

Another purpose, certainly not second in importance: to attract the attention of those unfamiliar with the world of flight and create their interest, although in virtual reality.

About the flights, the first one took place in early November 2016, with real-time weather from Jeppesen every 15'; subsequent flights were performed to follow, without interruption, if not to limit night-time departures.

In each video, you will be indicated the aircraft authors (model, livery and cockpit), as well as scenarios of add-on further to default Flight Simulator 2004.

    bye

    Aldo

  10. Following the above presentation, I inform you that the material is availabe as follows:

    http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=197485

    http://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.php?do=copyright&fid=194095

and, in this time, also in Tuttovola, the Italian portal where The Daniele Lanfranchi's meshes (for Europe/Italy) are already present, for FSX and FS9.

Comments (even critical, 041_helmet.gif.78baac70954ea905d688a02676ee110c.gif in moderation) are welcome.

    Have a nice World Tour

  11. Hello to all 026_cheers.gif.2a721e51b64009ae39ad1a09d8bf764e.gif753912961_dva51_worldtour.jpg.91384917c28667322303a5316d0f8335.jpg

after a silence long enough, "I knock again" the portal with this topic to inform (this time do not talk about scenery), of a little work that I hope may be of interest to some other flight enthusiasts, although it has been done something similar before.

It's just planning a world tour in 50 sections, which I made (with some difficulty) and I'd like to share with other simmers. Although flights I made are not professional, I have to say I'm "crash-fallen" very few times (mainly with "special" aircrafts).

I will not go further, but only with a link to the presentation.

    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/38829151/FS9/The%20World%20Tour.pdf

Trusting to read someone interested and postponing the next hints to small videos made for all flights

    I greet all wishing

    good flight!

    (Sorry for the imperfect language)

  12. a warm greeting to everybody, especially the ones of FS9 "hard core" 014_spot_on.gif.1f3bdf64e5eb969e67a583c9d350cd1f.gif

after a reflection pause (a bit long) I added something to the library, essentially linked to the attempt to develop the scenery of my lands (AltoMilanese), mainly with Autogen and Generic Buildings plus some dedicated SBuilder objects.

Let's see what will come of it ... while having to deal with the frame-rate

with reference to this argument and remembering the Emirates flight joining Dubai with Milano Malpensa with the Airbus A380-800, I like to carry a related video.

Thanks for watching to those who want to take a look.

  14. I add that there is a small revision, still posted in 2011, which added two peculiarities of Legnano: the statue of "Teresa", a great symbol of traditional dialect town and a representation of the "Palio of town Districts" inside the stadium.

And now, after four years and with the help of meshes and photo-realistic terrain by Daniele Lanfranchi, is "under-work" a general review of this scenery of the "Alto Milanese" area which, together with sceneries of Cameri, Turbigo, Trecate and Casorezzo make more realistic to fly from/to Malpensa and Linate airports ... turning a blind eye to the "frame rate"

here a video of the work at present

    greetings

  15. hello to all 002_wave.gif.62d5c7a07e46b2ae47f4cd2e61a0c301.gif

I open this post to tribute, first of all, to my hometown (Legnano, NW Milan Italy), telling something within Flight Simulator 2004 and, even if, imagining the interest is limited ... to my countrymen.

It is a first scenery very "amateur", posted in 2011 (legnano_v1, AvSim); it is mainly realized with the Generic Buldings System also using some existing objects. Positioning is approximate, made on elevations standard FS9 and on its terrain. Readme quoted this: ... includes among other things: the square of the city center with the Basilica of S. Magno and Palazzo Malinverni, the skyscraper, one of the bridges over the River Olona, the stadium G. Mari, square monument, with the statue of Alberto da Giussano, surrounded by the flags of the eight city districts, residential and industrial buildings F.Tosi and Manufacture, the railway station with parking outside and glass building ...

It is certainly not a masterpiece, but only a small gift of a scenery-maker amateur for his own town.

    greeting
