Thanks. That's great to know. And I definitely agree, I love the stories of the older crowd. (My Aero's instructor in the US was around 85 years old, very interesting chap!) ... But I'm also hoping to make some friends my age in the aviation scene, people I can go out with ... seeing as I have to start afresh :(

Hi Guys. I'm moving across to Melbourne from South Africa. I'm looking forward to getting involved in general aviation in Aus! I've currently got a South African PPL and a US PPL validated on my SA one. I plan on moving my SA PPL across to an Aussie once I'm settled in with a job and some cash inflow. I'm initially going to be staying with my sister right next door to Moorabbin airport. Any tips for integrating into the Aussie GA community? Do you guys have any clubs or anything? I'd like to make some friends in the aviation side :) Regards Itai
