On a beautiful North Texas evening flight, we flew over Lake Lavon and Lake Tawakoni to see the results of the massive amounts of rain received for the past weeks.

Thanks! It's nice to know that other people like watching my acro lessons. I'm not sure if it's 'analytical' or just 'self preservation/chicken' : ) But yes, that's my RV. I didn't build it but i've been flying it now for 5 years. i can't say how much i LOVE it! Here's some more of my acro videos if you're interested in seeing others. There's about 8 others on this link. http://www.thehdpilot.com/videosbycategory.aspx?id=1 Gene

A couple days ago I'd purchased ForeFlight's brand new Synthetic Vision add-on, so when the rain finally stopped I took to the skies, eager to give it a try. ForeFlight Synthetic Vision

This beautiful aircraft, once flown by the historic Jimmy Doolittle, is now owned by Tom and Jeff Ferraro, and is hangared at the McKinney National Airport in McKinney, Texas. This particular model is a 1938 Stinson SR-10 "Gull-wing" Reliant and was restored to its original color scheme. More photos and info here: http://www.thehdpilot.com/blog-article.aspx?id=39

This is Pat Long's Hatz Classic Experimental Aircraft. I collected some pictures and video of his building adventure, right up to the first flight. Be sure and check back. I'll be posting some video of this beautiful bird in flight! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-X_QObnaIU

UPDATE! For some weird reason, Youtube has marked the Part 3 video as "Unsafe", so I have deleted the video and am reloading it right now. It seems that if you put the wrong keywords in, they can be interpreted as "nasty", stuff like "roll", "stall". So when the video gets reloaded and the new "clean" keywords are added, I'll let everyone know what the new link is. Sorry for this inconvenience. Part 3: coming soon!

This video is Part 2 in the series with aerobatics instructor Adam Baker. Adam is a local air show pilot who holds an unlimited ground level waiver. In this video, Gene starts out the lesson more Stall/Spin recovery techniques. Then they have a little more fun with some aerobatics. Gene and I are hangar mates and love putting these videos together.
