  1. The frying weather was the dominating part of the day. Aircraft wise it was reasonable but I am getting a bit blasé in my old age.

I should stop attending shows as I have attended many significant international displays.

However I think that for attendees that do not have a frequent involvement with aircraft it was good fun.

A young pair of observers were massively impressed with the aerobatic displays so it was getting through to an important audience.

It was good to see the Sabre in the air, caused a rear of nostalgia to run down the cheek. Shame that Temorah cant get theirs into the air.

I believe it is because they insist on the bang seat being operational and that is not going to happen.

I go one up on that .

Before my new hip , I was ' ushered & pushed around & through the international airport ' .

    Like a " KING " .

They were even calling the ' Air-traffic controllers ' to hold a minute .

And I couldn't believe there were more than a dozen passenger's in 'wheelchairs.  For that one flight .

Unfortunately many passengers have realised that they can gain express boarding by requesting mobility assistance. They have an amazing recovery as soon as the plane lands. I have seen this happen a number of times.

  3. I had been flying my Kitfox for more than 10 years when I purchased my Foxbat. The throttle is in the opposite hand as were the joysticks.  Further the Kitfox was a taildragger with differential toe brakes compared to the Foxbat with the training wheel up front and central hand operated brakes.
The transition required real concentration for a few landings but soon became acceptable.  Good for the brain to move out of your comfort zone I think.

  4. GWH, have you tried warming the decals with a hair dryer.  It is normally enough to soften the adhesive. Don’t just keep the heat on a small spot rather gradually warm up maybe half the word.

  5. Camit went broke because they upscaled their production capacity with new huge cnc machines a couple of months before the global financial crisis.
Their production was good quality but they couldn’t sell the product particularly into the US.
As an aside, they improved their version of the engine which was sold under their name but Jabiru did not want the changes.
