    Jabiru Brakes

Hi Emaroo, The reason they are so good is simple, They stop you quickly without fading time and time again. Matco supply you with a package which includes Axle;Calipers;Roters;Tyres; Tubes;(aircraft quality) Pipes;Fittings etc. The cost varies according to the exchange rate From about $1200 Aus to $1350Aus. They are easy to fit.and you will never worry about stopping again, We have also fitted them on a J430 and had them approved by CASA.If you require more info., Call me on 0408203362. Cheers Jabby

Just an update on the fitting Matco brakes to the Jabiru's.We now have certification for these so they can be fitted to factory built aircraft and still carry out training etc. It's a good time to purchase Matco at the moment whilst the Aussie Dollar is so strong.I can order you the correct kit to fit any Jabiru and have them sent to you direct,Or we can arrange to have them fitted and certified .Cheers Jabby

    Jabiru Brakes.

Hi guys, As most of you sometime or another have had trouble with your brakes, lets face it they are not the best brakes on the planet. I have found a very good alternative Matco Brakes. These are very simple to install as you get the whole kit. Includes axles, wheels, tyres tubes, calipers discs and pipes & fittings. You use your own Master cylinder,or you can,if wish use heel or toe setup. Any one interested call me on 0408203362 or email amroche@iinet .net.au Thanks Guys Jabby:clap:
  10. Natfly temora Hi Guys Jabby was there also. I spent most of my time building the Wallaby with Storchy Neil It was started an taxied on Sunday evening. A great effort. Good work Neil. I would also like to comment on the Jabiru award at the dinner I thought homebuilt planes were 19 registered and not 24 which was on the aircraft who won Happy Flying Jabby:clap:

  15. Two planes down in NSW Hi Turboplanner, Yes I know the unfortunate gentleman. He actually bought my share in the syndicate a few months ago and has been going very well up to now. I think his pride has suffered a big blow, but he will get over it. Just goes to show how strong these little Jabs are.Happy Flying Cheers Jabby
  16. Two planes down in nsw Hi guys sorry for delay I've been away, In answer to your question I've been told that it had full flaps activated.Damage is one wing demolished ,Elevator torn off. Front leg broken at clamp ,no damage to firewall that can be seen at the moment. Prop and front cowels a bit secondhand:crying:
  17. Planes down in NSW For those of you who want to know, one of the aircraft was a Jab 160 at Warnervale. Stalled whilst doing a go around. Pilot is ok. Walked away. Aircraft not so lucky but repairable.Cheers Jabby:black_eye:
  18. Cold Starting a Jabiru Hi all you Jabiru owners and Rotax Owners as well. I have discovered an excellent way to cold start your aircraft and also use as a carby heat. It is a device that fits onto the butterfly of your carby and heats it. It comes from overseas cold climates and elimates your existing carby heat,if you have one. Very simple to install and it really works. You can contact me here or phone me on 0408203362 for further information. Cheers Jabby
  19. I think that the 2009 airshow was well below parr. the parking and camping grounds were way too far from the show. We had a stand which we paid a lot of money for and could not get our car in, but had to walk 4 ks I think it was discusting and will never go again, Mike
  20. I own a J160 and I have just flown almost around Australia in the past three weeks 7200 mls in fact We went from Cessnock To Darwin down the west coast to Perth along the South coast and back to Cessnock What a wonderful trip. apart from using a few litres of oil and a lot of Fuel it never missed a beat all through the trip.

  23. Hi Carl, Unfortunately I have not been able to water the Storch anywhere at the moment as I do not have a float endorsement, and anyway I am improving the brakes at the moment for ground use, which is the only way we can fly for the present. Please come along to one of our meetings at Cessnock, I will let you know when I will be at the next one as unfortunately I will be away for the Feb and March meetings. You can phone me anytime on 0408203362 Cheers Mike
  24. Hi Guys, I have heard that in the near future an Airpark is being planned for Cessnock, might be a bit hot in the Summer but has plenty wineries nearby to quench your thirst Mike
  25. Hi Carl, I fly a Jab From Warnervale and am a member of the Central Coast Flying Club. You are dead right in what you say,As far as I know there is no definate date yet for the shift, It is going to happen, but when ,depends on wyong council allowing Mirvac permission to build on Warnervale. I also have access to a Storch ( thats the Italian one) with floats at Cessnock, All I need is a float endorsement, If anybody can help I would be extremley happy. Happy flying Mike
