  1. Hi there aviators. If anyone needs an aircraft ferried to anywhere in Australia, and on-site training (ie. conversion to type or endorsement) please feel free to PM me for additional information. Im very experienced at aircraft ferry and an RAAUS CFI/PE. Kindest regards PS. I’m currently based in central NSW and sometimes in the year at SE Qld.
  2. Hi there guys. looking for some instructing work for a short term period if that helps at all. Have taught on many different aircraft over the last 25yrs. Currently hold a Senior instructor rating with a Pilot Examiner approval attached. if anyone is interested in discussing this further please free to PM on the link below. [email protected] Kindest regards Peter
  3. Hi there A friend and I are in the process of starting up a new flying school in central NSW and are actively seeking ideally a Foxbat A22, or A32 to buy or lease. We are however open to other aircraft suggestions also. The appropriate aircraft would need to be RA registered with reasonable hours left on the engine before TBO. Can anyone help us with this? Kindest regards P
  4. Thanks Ben I'll certainly look into that. Hope you get out of quarantine very soon. Pete
  5. Thanks guys for elaborating on the DCA logbooks. I'll give them a look also. Yes technology is a double sided sword. Its much quicker and cleaner, but it lacks the true grit and character of hand written information. I for one love the logbooks and would never want to convert it all electronically. I know my logbooks will be thrown in the trash when I depart this earth, but in the mean time I enjoy seeing the stack of books which represent all the service I have given (and continue to give) to aviation!. For that reason alone, my collection of logbooks serve as a symbol of gratitude and inspiration to do more to help others. Sorry for the soapbox spiel but its the truth as I see it. Thanks for all your insights and keep the ideas coming if you have them. Pete
  6. Thanks Nev and Onetrack It sounds like I'll have to contact ATC directly and see whether they can source me one of the original large logbooks from somewhere. It sounds like a very slippery slope going down the book binding trail. I dont know why ATC stopped making them. They were a wonderful alternative for pilots racking up a lot of hours.
  7. Hey there Sounds like a plan. I'll see what I can manage. Cheers
  8. Hey there mate. Unfortunately not. It has the same height and length dimensions as the logbook you listed but the thickness is aprox 4cm. You have any other ideas?? Regards Peter
  9. Hi Guys, Years ago I bought a logbook made by ATC (Aviation Theory Centre) that was thicker than the standard logbook and aptly named "Professional Pilot's Logbook". Its about 4 times the thickness of a standard ATC logbook. Any ideas where I could pick up one of these logbooks ? I have checked several online pilot stores in Australia to no avail. Surely, someone still has supplies of this logbook. Happy Flying.
  10. P.S. I’m also available to conduct BFRs in remote areas if there are no flying schools nearby. email me if you require more information on this matter. kindest regards Peter
  11. Greetings guys. Was just checking in to see if anyone knows of a RA-Aus flying school who needs a helping hand for the next year or so in NSW, Queensland or even SA? Ive worked at 10 flying schools over a 25yr period, instructing on a long list of various aircraft ranging from rag and tube Drifters, X-airs, Thrusters, Bantums right through to more current trainers such as Foxbats, Jabirus, Tecnams, etc. I would appreciate any suggestions if you have one. kindest regards Peter [email protected]
  12. Thanks DJP Exactly what I'm looking for at a good price. Cheers Peter
  13. Hi there chaps. Wondering if anyone has, or knows of a place that has or makes fairly 'cheap' aircraft models with movable control surfaces for flight instruction purposes. You can contact me on [email protected] if you have something. Many thanks Peter
  14. I knew the guy personally' and had flown one of his Genesis. Wonderful man in superb health for his age! The Genesis I flew of his did not fly well at that stage, 3 years ago. He was a wonderful man, and will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
  15. Hi there Ian. Thanks for that. Just out of curiosity, how many flight entry pages did the professional pilot book have compared to the atc pilot logbook which has about 60. And do you remember how much you paid for yours?
  16. Hi there. No mate. It's the 'professional' pilot logbook I'm looking for. Thanks for the link though.
  17. He did a splendid job! I've flown a drifter several times along that route, and there is nowhere to land but the beach. How he missed hitting anyone on the beach is indeed a credit to him. Well done sir.
  18. Hi the guys and gals. Does anyone know where I can get the atc professional logbook. It's about 3 times thicker than the standard logbook. Cheers Peter
  19. Hi there. Good question indeed. It's a long list but here are some of the aircraft I've had experience with. Thrusters (300/600), drifters (503/582/618/912), Fisher special, lightwing (582/912), skyfox gazelle, jabiru (500/120/160/170/200/230), tecnam (echo/golf/eaglet), J3 cub, J2 auster, foxbat, fk 9, sport cruiser, sling, pipistrel, X air (jabiru engine/582/618) , storch. The list goes on but hopefully this will shed some light on my background. Cheers. Pete
  20. Hi guys and girls. Not sure if this is the place to post something like this, however, just thought I would let you know that I am available to ferry RA-Aus aircraft if required. I am an experienced Ra-Aus instructor so please don't hesitate to message me for contact details. Thanks. Pete
  21. Thanks Guy for your reply mate. Yes I'm sure Casino is a lovely area. I used to work at Boonah so I know that area well. I guess it would be up to the casino aero club to talk about it amongst themselves, and if they were interested, contact me with an offer. I cant relocate on the hope that everything will be provided for me upon arrival. As for Lismore, theyre a top bunch of guys there, but I'm not sure if they have enough work on to support a full time instructor, but if you would like to ask around, Id certainly appreciate. Many thanks Guy. Pete
  22. Try emu park airstrip mate. Its right on the edge of town so you can easily walk to accomodation. No landing fees. Right on the the doorstep to great keppel island and the Whitsundays. And did I mention the breathtaking coastal scenery all the way from Caloundra to there. Spectacular. You'll also find Gladstone and its waterways north of it incredible from the air. Good luck.
  23. Hey there guys and gals. I'm currently looking for permanent work as a senior instructor or CFI if required. Ive worked at many schools as a senior or CFI on a variety of aircraft from rag and tube up to the latest makes and models. I'm currently situated in south east Queensland but would relocate for the right position. (I.e. I need something substantial with a garaunteed minimum wage if I'm to relocate. ) Please text or call if you know of anything going. Cheers. Peter 0403865474
