  1. Have been in Moree recently and mate of mine has large farming operation up between Garah and Mungindi. His name is Bill Yates, and son is Andrew Yates. (Bill - 0427 543389). We had a talk about using an RAAus aircraft like a Savannah for checking troughs, tanks, and other uses on all their properties. Wonder if you might be able to meet with them and...who knows. cheers, ralph burnett aka poteroo

  3. Thanks for reply. Mine will be a flying school aircraft which we will use as our ab initio trainer taking students thru to a PC + nav endorsement - then we can switch them over to a C172 in the GA school which we operate 'back-to-back' with the RAAus school. Our last Jab 160 was just too much trouble to keep - 2 engine failures in 600 hrs. cheers, ralph
  4. Rod, When did you order? Ours ordered March 2013. Large deposit. Very limited advice from them. Disappointing customer relations really. Also a 912 - didn't want the teething problems with the Lycoming 233. They perform well, but it will take me some hours to check all the POH numbers. Pretty good ROC and half flap gives good angle. Reckon 200m of ground run is normal, prob clear 50ft in 300m cheers, ralph
  5. G'day 68volksy, I'm coming over to Cowra to pickup my new Brumby 610 in the next few weeks, and am looking to enlist the help of someone to drive from Canberra up to Cowra with me, and then drive the hire car back to Canberra. Would earn a ride,(dual if they like), in the B610, plus I'll meet their out-of-pocket expenses. Do you think someone in the Canberra area might be interested? cheers, poteroo

  12. Mate, I have a 610 high wing on order for my flying school in Albany,WA. Delivery possibly October 2013. It will be a standard Rotax 912S with a 3 blade ground adjustable Sensenich propeller. Aiming for a lightweight unit - hence have only a Dynon 180 plus the minimum analog flight gages in the panel - basic radio stack of GARMIN COM,TXP/C,and Aera 500 GPS - 5.00 tyres. My BEW is expected to be 345-350kg.

Hi Poteroo, speed around 100 kts. Climb 600 feet per minute, I've flown at 10000 feet easily, fairly stable in 38 degree days, docile stalls, basically it's as fast and as comfortable as any rotax 912 engine powered plane around. Compared to the Bristol, tecnam p92, piper sport, performance and room in cab, is as good.
  15. do you have a basic empty weight for it? Is it a Lycoming or Rotax powered? If Rotax - is it the 912iS, or the ULS?
