dppintr
The original plan for a trip to the French Alps did not materialize. The weather was just not good enough for the trip. But we made good with some nice flights, and also I did the two-yearly training flight. The weather would not be good in the weekend. On Friday we returned the plane to its base. But not before we made a visit to Bremen. The Junkers w33 in Bremen A trip report with pictures can be found here -o-o-
Marty_d
Thanks dppintr! That brings back good memories - we were in Bremen christmas 2017. Kids loved the christmas markets! Didn't notice the Junkers in the airport, but not surprising as airports are fairly large places - and herding 3 kids takes focus. Cheers, Marty
onetrack
That brings back memories of "Flight into Hell" - the forced landing, and struggle for survival, in the remote North-West of Western Australia, by pioneer aviators Bertram and Klausmann, in their W33, in 1932. 1932 Kimberley rescue - Wikipedia
ClintonB
I remember watching the mini series as a kid, always thought corrugated iron was a strange material for an airplane from that show.
