Admin
Just had a call from a person in Brisbane who is after some scrap wood from anyone building a wooden aircraft - he wants to try his hand at making a wooden model aircraft. Let me know if you can help - thanks!

Deskpilot
Pity he's not here in S.A. as there's 2 basket ball courts worth of oak and jarra going begging. No long bit unfortunately, max is about 4ft. I'm must say that I wondered why he needed aircraft grade wood for a model. Maybe it's gunna be big enough for him to fly it. I'm such a suspicious B*****d.
Downunder
Models are mainly made from balsa and perhaps something heavier (light ply?) for the fire wall and main structural supports (landing gear). Balsa is available in bunnings. Might be best to start with a ARF. (Almost Ready to Fly) kit.
