David Clark headset plug conversion

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Hoping to save some time by asking the experts how to convert a David Clark head set P/N 41025G-01 plug.

I have a comms cord with PTT see first picture ( helo headset) and want to convert to standard GA plug see second picture.

Is there any impedance matching which I need to consider? I have included a wiring diagram which may help.

Thanks Jon

Just solder the new plugs onto the correct connectors

The impedance will be fine. You may have to tie the L and R headphone's together depending on how your radio is configured. Just don't get the mic and head phones round the wrong way because sticking the mic in your ear and taking into the earphones is very uncomfortable.
