Spin
Ouch, found myself leaning away, trying a bit of body English to get the Baron to MOVE!

Guest DJH
My pal Guy Furner was the camera operator on that sortie, shooting an Ansett TV advert. He told me the encounter left them all somewhat rattled and in need of a stiff drink or two, although he laughs about the incident now. Guy is a retired, but, well respected director of photography these days, living in the U.K..........John

flying dog
Love it! After seeing the n'th repeat, the bump towards the end.... Turbulance or actual contact? Probably the former. (hopefully)
Guest DJH
There was no contact, only propwash and turbulence.
facthunter
Close. You don't get any closer than that and get away with it. It must have been hushed up. I don't remember it being investigated at the time and I would have known in normal circumstances. There is no way that the PF would have been able to see the Baron properly from the left seat either. Not a good effort. Nev
turboplanner
Maybe he was the one who went on to approach Wynyard from Bass Strait below ground level.
