Guest Ultralights Posted March 27, 2005 Share Posted March 27, 2005 ok, its not really a trip, you never know....... just the usual round trip down the Victor 1, off the coast of Sydney, though this time i started a little thurther north. in the trusty Jabiru! View of CBD from the LOE. ^^^ easiest landmark on the planet to find, especially in the afternoon sun! ^^^ tracking north to The Spit. ^^^ making the turn south and descending to 500 ft ^^^ no comment needed ^^^ it was at this point i was informed by Syd Radar that my transponder was giving an altitude of 1000 ft higher than actual level, just as a B737 was on short final! ^^^ great day for sailing, and flying! ^^^ you can see my unit from here!!! :) ^^^ continuing south to Stanwell park....... great day for flying, as the wind was a north easter, the air was a smooooth as silk, even at 3 pm!
