"VFR on Lario" project, free scenery of Como lake in Italy

Hi to all the "Recreational Flying FORUM" users.

 

I'm very fresh on registration and, as I'm an amateur as scenery developper and as next year will be the EXPO2015 in Milan, I would like to draw your attention on "VFR on Lario" project, a FREE work for FS9 just completed last year, after a work of two year.

 

Even if Italy is on the opposite side of the globe, I'm confident somebody could be interested.

surely you know where this motorcycle was built: in Mandello del Lario on Lake Como, Italy.

 

Mandello is one of many countries that have tried to recreate in our project ...

 

Who will have the opportunity to come to Italy, I strongly suggest you visit Lake Como live: it's worth it!

Stayed 1 night in Lugarno, and have traveled by train through Domadossala. I think this is on Lake Como. Stunning scenery! Don

Thank you Aldo. Yes I know my Lario was built there and that Moto Guzzi, being a builder of proper motorcycles, has it's own test track nearby. No wonder Guzzis love corners!

Lugano with his small lake is quite closed, about 20 km Est of Como lake; Domodossola is a nice town in a valley of Alps, about 70 km est of Como lake.

 

Unfortunately, these places are not covered in VFR on Lario sceneries,

My mother-in-laws family hailed from Lovero 101km to the east, next time I am in Italy, which incidently will be the first time, we are sure be up there.

I used Max Tacolli's savannah model on my flight sim but never got into upgrading scenery before I trained to fly the real thing, now simming doesn't do it for me.

It is my duty to inform you that our invitation to donate freely to LISM is meant unfortunately now fallen.

 

I received today the confirmation of disinterest to our initiative. I just remember that this invitation was with the project VFR on Lario, with the elevations for Europe for Italy by Daniele Lanfranchi and in several of our other sceneries.

 

Here below the communication received, with related motivations

I wish like to inform you that, thanking the work of an enthusiast simmer,

 

it is possible to make a "conversion", to fly "VFR on Lario" with Flight Simulator X too.

Unfortunately, still flying with the old and dear FS9, I'll be not in conditiones to provide more details or specifications.
