dazza 38
Hi all i wanted to start a thread on what a/c people would buy, "if you won Lotto, or fell over a bag full of money", so money isnt a problem. I was thinking 3 diffferent uses. A- Training A/c B-Personel Fun A/c. C- a people mover. Planes have to be single engine, RAA and or GA. My choice would be A- Brumby or Sportstar B-Cubcrafters cub S2 C- TC 320 Airvan
rgmwa
Plenty of good choices but for what it's worth: A. RV12 B- RV8 or Tiger Moth C- RV10 (does only 4 seats count as a people mover?. If not, then the TC320 looks good) rgmwa
dazza 38
Thanks Guys. There are so many choices out there, even if money wasnt a problem. It would be very difficult to choose.I think
Spin
A: One of the Tecnams - nice honest RA trainer B: RV8 - enough to brighten my day:big_grin: C: C208 - was going to say C206, but what the hell, you did say lotto. Enough space for family and a few toys, quick enough, but still rugged enough to get into most places I would like to go. I'm not rated but have enough unofficial time in them to know that they are an achievable option for a PPL.
facthunter
Choice of (3) all single engine. Cost no barrier. Trainer Whitney boomerang. Fun Boeing Stearman. People mover Cessna Caravan. Not that exciting. Perhaps a Sukhoi (the aerobatic one),instead of the Stearman, but I do like Bipe's with a big round engine. Nev

dazza 38
You have got me there Nev, the Boomerang would be a excellent trainer, with a projected 22 000 hour airframe life, and australian built as well.

Powerin
Hmmm...being a bushy I need a bush plane, then an aerobatic plane would be nice and of course a comfortable people mover is a must for family and friends. So I believe the Pilatus range would do nicely: Bush/fun: PC-6 Aero/trainer: PC-9 Mover: PC-

Spin
Surprised you didn't nominate the Savvanah for "trainer", Walter. Reckon I'm going to change my original vote, love the Tecnams, but if I had a Savvy trainer, I could also use it for buzzing around the back paddock, not to mention dropping to some of the more challenging strips, keep the RV for longer jaunts where the speed is an attraction. Guest Walter Buschor
Hi Spin, Savannah for trainer, I don't think so. With money no object I want better than that. - Remember that you can always backtrade to the Savvy should you want to and use the profit for a nice trip around the world . - I hope that no Savvy owner has taken this the wrong way! - Walter
