Stewy
Just completed my first solo nav yesterday arvo. Had a great flight gets a bit busy in the cockpit on your own though hopefully that will improve in time as I get more organised and confident. Was great fun and even got home again like planed:big_grin: Stewy

Guest davidh10
Great, mate. You have done well. You will find that as you do more, you are able to do more without consciously thinking about it. The balance between conscious and unconscious thought is key to how "busy" you perceive the situation. Conscious thought is easily overloaded, but unconscious thought tends to execute learned routines. The trick is to use conscious thought to direct unconscious thought. We all do that as practice leads to familiarity. An example is that I no longer have to consciously think about compensating heading for cross wind. It just happens automagically (sic).
