Low and slow is not the go. Some pilots are put off by an intersecting runway or road. This may be the case here too. Where this happens don't look at the other , just your aim point on the runway (or field) Can't see that women do this more than men but the blokes will give them hell. I had a girl student way back who commented on clothes on a clothes line when she was doing a forced landing.. It wasn't to determine wind direction either.
