Sent mine in last week with all pics.

Apparently Jab never previously supplied pics with the registration applications

I hope all will be well.

My original registration was in October, it's now back to August. Seems that I have lost a couple of months somewhere!

I don't think the Australian manufacturers did which is one reason why the workload is currently so high and will be for a 12 month cycle

I just thought i would send these photos of my bit of a wild experience ,I mean the dark murky photo was when the weather suddenly turned

feral on me at 1000ft.Must have been the longest 15 minutes back to the airfield I have rode. They sure handle well in the wet though. The other

photos were taken a week later. rain.gif.5409f0367857047bb0ed70f1ff7b4d3b.gif

What pix? I received my renewal notice last Friday; same as always, with no request for pictures.

Apparently it is new thing that has arose with the past CASA audits. This is what I was requested to do on the rego renewal form. You should

ring them up about it so there wont be any delays with your rego.

I got two requests, first one without photo requests, I sent off through pulse and a few days later got an email conf re-rego and PDF of new cert with card to follow. Then I got the second request advising rego overdue and pix required. The card then arrived so I sent the pix with copy of new cert and request they place on file.034_puzzled.gif.ea6a44583f14fcd2dd8b8f63a724e3de.gif

We have two aircraft with overdue rego. Got a preliminary request for info (photos), started complying (aircraft is 7hours drive away), then got another list that has a lot more. As one was a recent home built the request was for the info that went in but seems to have been lost. The other had been registered for many years and needs underwing numbers - again another trip. By the time we discovered we needed an inspector to provide W&B etc the aircraft was out of rego, so now need to get an inspector to come to a remote area. The boss is losing enthusiasm. We will fly again, unlike some who now own garden ornaments. The C152 is undergoing a repaint and refurbishment, just when some quick transport would have been ideal. So rego time depends on the response from HQ (which is much better now), but also on what the previous administration has "lost" or not asked for when the regs changed.

It beats me as to WHY we need underwing rego numbers. Done away with in other (CASA) areas.

Seems RAAus could ask CASA for a rule change and amend ops manual.

So if aircraft is grounded due to raa inefficiecy, it is in a remote location, you now have to foot a large bill for an L4 or LAME to travel and do a W&B? 035_doh.gif.37538967d128bb0e6085e5fccd66c98b.gif

We have been asked for our CURRENT Weight & Balance signed by an Inspector. A copy of our W&B provided when the aircraft had its final inspection was attached to the request. Reading the Ops Manual it seems a W&B can be done by an L2 - so beats me why we need an inspector (L4). Can only surmise that there was something wrong with the initial W&B - which was done by a LAME/L4.

I think there are a lot of planes grounded due to "RAA Inefficiency" - people who now find that even after years of safe flying, their aircraft should never have been registered because it lacked a CofA, or regulatory changes were not communicated, or enforced, paperwork went missing - guess someone looked at it, said "Yeah, this complies" OKed the renewal and binned the filing.

When we got the letter asking for (among other things) photos of the underwing numbers, my darling argued long that it did have them, I hadn't looked hard enough. It was quite a surprise to him to find the under wing rather blank when he got there. So, getting numbers cut, have to pick them up, then travel to wing, apply, photograph and go home without a fly.

Sue is yours 19 reg?

Our fleet

10 - out of rego - need under wing No.s, aircraft drawings & data pack, more photos. Not sure where the drawings went - lent to someone? Built more than 20 years ago.

19 - out of rego - need Inspector's W&B, more photos

55 - renewed - out on loan

10 - won't bother - Scout needs lots of work & he's too heavy to get it off the ground.

The C152 has to go for its corrosion inspection, its in pieces getting stripped and refurbished.

We have turned the house upside down looking for things (he loves junk with a passion) and keeps all his magazines, receipts, old nails, dead oil filters & batteries, phone books etc, but not in any order or accessibility, so finding anything is a challenge. It also doesn't help that we have things spread over several towns as we both live & work away from home and our hangars are a distance from us - the furthest is 7.5hrs drive. So, thinking "it's probably in the top drawer at ..." means it will be a week, a fortnight, a month or 3 months before we can check.

We will be driving to Ausfly. A bit of aviation porn might get him motivated again.

Sent mine in 3 weeks ago. I am O/S and wanted it when I get home in two weeks time. Sent with all pics.

They sent receipt today per email for $130 so I imagine the rego will be in the mail when I get home.

Yippee.

Rang, they said I have to wait at least another two weeks. Rego ran out on the 14th. Apparently they have a person on holidays! Where I work, if there was that sort of pressure there would be no holiday leave granted. Oh well, weather is crap for at least a week and the plane is due for its yearly. pull_hair.gif.3994f465d56951521f66ae0593c25df0.gif

Not necessarily Phil, I've heard of cases of extended periods between Receipt and Certificate. You should email/phone and chase em up NOW
