Guest bateo Posted October 3, 2007 Share Posted October 3, 2007 A suspected 25-year-old man was taken by ambulance to Mudgee district Hospital yesterday (October 2nd) after a Jabiru 160 attempted an emergency landing at Mudgee at 2.25pm. The man had sustained minor injuries and is in a stable condition. It appears the Jabiru 160, VH-LST, did not recover from a gust of wind on landing and was forced onto the ground damaging all the undercarriage, cowlings, propellor and port side wing. The aircraft came to a final stop on the grass strip resting on its wing. Authorities will be investigating the scene further. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

planedriver Posted October 15, 2007 Share Posted October 15, 2007 Your quite right Darren. It operates out of YSBK and is one of the Sydney Flight Training Centre's fleet. They have probably 1/2 or more J160's on lease, plus a couple of J230's apart from usual range of Cessna spam-cans. The main thing is that the student pilot is around to assist with any enquiries.
