Recommended Posts

Interesting. Footage on 9 News showed the aircraft wreckage and registration, but a check of RegoSearch.com shows that rego assigned to a balloon. The aircraft is reported as a Diamond DA40.

On the news they said the pilot was an instructor. It looked like they had an engine failure on take off and went straight ahead. If that is correct then congratulations to the pilot she made the best out of a bad situation and probably saved two lives.

If someone gives me a caution I assume one of the following.

1. It was a finger fault.

2. They do not know what they are talking about.075_amazon.gif.0882093f126abdba732f442cccc04585.gif

I would not intentionally give a caution without some sort of follow up post.

I hope the two involved are getting better and make a speedy recovery. Daimond aircraft have a pretty good safety record. There is fairly major damage by the look of the photo
