Sometimes called 'dual watch'. I have a (illegal to transmit) Vertex hand held that has this feature, and it would be a great asset to be able to monitor Area frequency whilst also operating on Unicom (for instance). Does it mean they are legal to use in Australia both on the ground and in the air. I would have thought that some mention would have been made about this in their brochure. Austalia requires a radio to have certain functions that are not required in other countries which is why it is illegal to use non Australian certified units in Australia...max $100,000 fine Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
