Thruster88 Posted October 5, 2019 Share Posted October 5, 2019 I would have thought the cam/mechanical one was much cheaper and much more reliable, but that's the way they went. The cam/mechanical 4-6psi fuel pump left the automotive scene at the same time as the carbureter. Nearly all petrol cars have in tank electric turbine pumps producing about 50psi pressure.
