Was a passenger in a few Dash 8's in USA in September..nice sound when they fire up! They fly some of the shorter legs from Philadelphia for US Airways. Not sure its the way to fly to LAX from Sydney though! Well spotted Chainy!

To clarify...

On Planeplotter the flight was QFA11 SYD-LAX, the rego showing was VH-QOB which is a Dash-8/400 errr no, it should have been VH-OQB an A388. An error on the display. From the plane itself or from the PP sharer.

The 400's are good, but not that good eeeek!

There seems to have be an issue for this aircraft on its return flight from LAX.

Flightstats.com was listing the flight as 'redirected' with an arrival into Sydney at 10:30 this morning.

Sydney airport website has since been updated with a new arrival time of approx 4pm today, with the flight having a stopover in Nadi.

Doesn't seem to be a weather issue, so early signs indicate the stopover was due to a mechanical or passenger issue.

Was this VH-OQB's 1st or 2nd revenue flight since delivery?

cheers
