john roe Posted May 25, 2010 Author Share Posted May 25, 2010 0014: departing Springbok Fl281 reported to Melbourne Center that aprox (18 ) or (80 ) NM (did not hear clearly distance ) off the coast at 254.3 deg, reports a Emergency Beacon, inbound Emirates Fl424 also received the Beacon aprox same distance at 100.2 deg . after further conformation with Melbourne Center, nothing more is heard on 125.200 Freq. 0110: VH-OWG RFDS just reported also receiving the Emergency Beacon on 121.5, Melbourne Center requested arriving Emirates Fl424 if they were still receiving the beacon, answer was No?. Another Visitor, US Navy, Rego 165351, popped into Pearce with a Hercules C130T, Sn 382-5409, around 1410. Another RAAF Hercules paid a quick visit to Pearce AFB, Rego A97-450, C130J-30, Sn 6450, arrived around 1320, departing as quick after refueling at around 1510. (Quote ) Just had VH-ZXH GLEX pop up on SBS, so N38ZZ may have had it registration & transponder changed. N38ZZ shows as being cancelled from the USCAR on June 1 as exported to Australia so I hope you all got your shots of it with the N registration. Heard it on scanner a bit later, she was tracking direct to Geraldton, test flight or a jolly. (unquote) I recorded 2 arrivals and 2 departures, can any one airside shed more light on this AC to who owns it and what is it etc please. Departed again today 5th at 0735 to ??
