By the way ...

SIPA S.500.

Well, there you go. Checked every French a/c I could think of & didn't see a photo of it, only the S.300. The penny still didn't drop in spite of the similarities.

Cheers, Willie.

Good grief, Geoff, how did you latch onto that from the small image in the clue?

I'm done (at least for now.) Like some other quizzes, if you win, it's your turn. Over to you, mate.

Just about to head out but on return I'll put something into the Games Room/Competions & Quizzes section, which might be more apposite for what we're doing.

I guess it pays to be retired and have the spare time to scroll through images, doesn't it!

maybe we should just show a part of the image :(

Good idea, mn - a bit like a jig-saw puzzle.

Not sure how many clues to give with this one.

Not an Su-24, mn. Its wing is above the intake, and the intake has a flatter outside wall, more parallel to the inside wall. No idea what it is though.

Side intake doesn't really identify twin or single engine. Fixed geometry inlet may or may not indicate vintage.

This might make it easier - it's an interceptor (F-).

Cheers, Willie.

Agreed and I figured that out pretty quickly.

Another guess would be the Dassault Super Etendard. Surely not an f-4 phantom. That has huge flutes in front of the intakes, not like these

It's not the Dassault or the Phantom.

Other clues are delta winged, supersonic, internal weapons bay.

This gives it away as a single engine.

I was thinking F-5 Tiger (et al) but it looks a bit narrow.

Edit:

After posting the above, I saw your second clue --- F-102 Delta Dagger.

Just wondering how you got that shot, Geoff.

Did you use a zoom, or get inside the fence, or is it of another one in the workshop?
