Good Instructors know the little tricks - Directional control on the runway

It's used on planes with a limited prop clearance too. You don't steer on brakes  usually at that stage with most planes unless you get to some point where you have to. The rudder is plenty effective if you are deliberate with it. A tricycle U/C on the rear wheels is much more directionally stable than the more forward located tail dragger wheels. Nev
