Fundamentalist groups, of any/all persuasion, are very very bad karma. In general they answear to a higher authority (than the law of the land), as articulated by their leaders (priests/rabbis/mullahs, etc) that absolves them of responsibility for any deed/action that they deem to be handed down/sanctioned by their spiritual leader(s). So that Jewish mob probably all feel that they have done no wrong. Throw the book at them and then some - send a message to all similar groups that dissent of this type will not be tolerated.

You forgot loathsome, blame shifting and talking of blame shifting Scotty from marketing has been absent. One of his very few public appearances he said the mission in Afghanistan was accomplished so all OK. After the Russians left there 20 years ago the place was overun in a couple of weeks, now Scotty from marketing says it happened too fast to try and help  those that helped us. Those that don't learn from history. Thread drift, spin is the connection.......

This is the sort of stupidity that is completely unfathomable. All 69 are getting a $5000.00 fine so that $345,000 plus a bit more for other breaches for being stupid and laughing about it. One person was positive and now 6 more have tested positive and there are a whole lot of exposure sites.

NZ got 1 community case in Auckland and immediately locked the entire country down yesterday. There are now 7 cases and they have been linked to the NSW outbreak. The strain is so transmissible it got out through people in Hotel quarantine passing it to another group in a room on the opposite side of the hallway (who originally tested negative) when doors were opened for 3 to 5 seconds up to 4 times when food was being delivered.

There is absolutely no excuse Australia lack of moral responsibility in this matter. I am ashamed of our responsible  leaders.

Logical planning would suggest that all Australian helper/supporters & their families should have been given the opportunity to leave Afghanistan BEFOR out troops departed and we closed our Embassy. Even if the Taliban had not surprise themselves and the political leadership of the west, the absence of our troops/administration would have made getting our friends out, very difficult.

A couple of good things about the poms tho...

Recently, I heard an aboriginal activist ( well actually  he was as white as me ) being asked about what other colonial power he would have chosen instead of the english...  he was stymied for a reply.

On similar lines, apparently the blacks in South Africa supported the english  against the boers.

You trippin too dawg

That's a characteristic of the Delta strain. In the previous Melbourne lockdown a person arrived in Adelaide from overseas, did his 14 days in Adelaide Hotel quarantine, and was walking out of the hotel when he caught the Delta strain, so unrelated to him being from overseas, flew to his destination, Melbourne maybe had some lunch and looked at some shops etc, got home, went out and visited two big shopping centres, then two restaurants and I think two night clubs, and he'd had touchpoints with over 5,000 people, but the electronic contract tracing knocked that down in two weeks.

The task is to change our ways slightly to minimise time in air conditioning or closed buildings, maintain a bigger distance - maybe 3 metres, wear masks better than we do now, sanitise hands better than we do now, and so on.

With a bit of luck the NZ action will put a ring around that infection and contacts and completely neuter it.

Melbourne was getting noticeably slack over the past couple of weeks and into this lockdown with too many cars on the road and people in shopping centres etc, but the actions taken by the CHO and Police have made a noticeable change within 24 hours.

I spoke to an Afghani and asked him what happened. Receiving a less than informative answer I asked him why the Army just stopped fighting. His answer "The new game is on."

So what do you suggest, let these 6 people give it 6 people each?    You clearly believe that there is no rational reason to stem the spread.

Apparently, Trump is to blame...😏

(Apologies for the large print, seems to be no way to tone it down)

“Despite nearly 100 percent of Gibraltar “fully vaccinated” in accordance with government guidelines, the nation is being locked down once again...

...According to reports, the number of new Chinese Virus cases in Gibraltar has increased by over 2,500 percent since June 1, which is when the country achieved a 99 percent vaccination rate...

...This just goes to show that the “Operation Warp Speed” vaccines introduced by Donald Trump, who has repeatedly claimed to be the “father” of the shots, do not work as claimed and are actually creating another plandemic right before our very eyes...”

I am still interested in your explanation for the different trajectories of NSW and Victoria outbreak.

Have a listen at about the 2 and a half minute mark of the Avi Yemini video again and you will see he references the ‘unreported’ muslim community outbreaks of west Sydney.

If you trawl the net enough, you can always find something to put an illogical spin on reality.

Gibralta is a localised situation with a population of 33,000 - a bit like analysing Mildura.

The policy of fighting Covid by vaccinating has always included an acceptance that those not vaccinated will die.

So nothing surprising with what's happening. Whe unvaccinated people come in every morning to work in Gibralta from the surrounding countries they get sick, so Gibralta is just being humane in locking down to save these people.

FB, even if the first two paragraphs are true...I haven’t checked the data for Gibraltar, it does not support or prove the claim in the third paragraph, putting aside why anyone would believe anything associated with a deluded, imbecilic narcissist like Trump.

Lets be clear.  The Covid vaccines have been designed to reduce (not eliminate) deaths and to reduce (not eliminate) hospitalisations.  And this has been substantiated in basket case countries (ie. ones that have let the virus rip) that then rely only on vaccination (look at the UK).  There is very reliable evidence that Covid vaccinations are very effective (in the short term) of massively reducing infection fatalities and hospitalisations.  Figures range from a minimum of a five fold to ten fold reduction in deaths and hospitalisations.  If that’s not ‘working’ as intended, I don’t know what is.

They were not designed, nor were they tested, to eliminate people getting the Covid infection or padding it on.  Yet they still reduce transmission of tge infection by around 50% or a bit more. unfortunately with the Delta variants higher transmissibility, a reduction by 50% from vaccination, just delivers us back to where we were with the original Covid strain, not ‘herd immunity’ as was hoped.

I know there are many people who simply believe all vaccinations work the same....like polio, diphtheria, tetanus....but unfortunately this is not the case.  Some vaccines have marginal effectiveness, others only boost immunity for a short period (eg hepatitis).

The main issues with vaccination programs from a public policy point of view is that they can divert resources away from other public health programs that may be more effective (think about potable water, sewerage systems, infant nutrition like breastfeeding, quarantine/isolation/treatment as for TB). Or in the case of Covid, shift collective responsibility to individuals (get vaccinated) instead of government (control the borders, have effective quarantine), or even worse, encourage people to get vaccinated by lying that this will mean other public health measures like distancing, travel, mask wearing etc can be relaxed, and thereby encouraging people to engage, or expect to engage, in risky behaviour once theyre vaccinated.

When a website article calls Covid-19 the "Chinese virus", "Wuhan Coronavirus" "Fauci Flu" and "Chinese Germs" and goes on to state that Trump  introduced the Vaccines that are both unsafe and ineffective you know it is right wing anti vaxination bullshit straight away.

FB you need to be a little more analytical when it comes to quoting data.   How many deaths' have there been in Gibraltar since almost full vaccination???????   When did these deaths occur with respect to the vaccine rollout?????

Sunny needs to dump his leaking mate; that's a couple of times he has been way out.

The 57 comes from 49,607 test results, a massive ramp up of testing rates from the start of this lockdown, so a really good effort by the people who came in for testing, and pure gold for the contact tracers.
