A Fun Question

I just had this silly idea,092_idea.gif.47940f0a63d4c3c507771e6510e944e5.gif:hittinghead:

You know how you say it's landed, for all types off aircraft, but what if the airplane is a float plane....:raise_eyebrow:

You "watered" it, just doesn't have the same ring to it does it....006_laugh.gif.0f7b82c13a0ec29502c5fb56c616f069.gif006_laugh.gif.d4257c62d3c07cda468378b239946970.gif

  • 2 weeks later...

I hadn't seen the Walaby look a little like the old Thruster! It might struggle a little on a 503 on floats you really need some ponies up the front to drag them out of the water even more so if you want to put two people in it.

One of my future (probably a long way off) is to put a T-500 on amphib floats (with the kind permission of the RAA folk) It would pretty much become a one seater with the weights but perfect for those late afternoon flights onto a lake.

Adam.

Mythbusters did a story to see if a passenger could land a jumbo - I cant find a link to the story though :black_eye:

I have a similiar question though, I did 1.5 in an S3 viking - front right hand seat - took this picture 024_cool.gif.7a88a3168ebd868f5549631161e2b369.gif

I have an official logbook printout from the ship - can I log it - noting that unlike the flight in a Jumbo mentioned above I cant be done for carrying out a commercial operation.

Problem may be that I didnt even have a student license at the time

i would get on the blower to ATC before landing and say here is the deal, i will land safely if my log book is stamped with my CPL as soon as i land if not where is the nearest place to park LOL

i fly with an ex singapore airlines pilot who says flying a 747 is easier than flying a cessna 152.

Ian....mate..fun question, I am with cloudsuck except the fact that I got some sim time in SA on 737 and it is in my log book and legal!! (prior to CPL) If you had a logbook and any licence it would be perfectly legal to log with the exception that you would not be able to charge the passengers for the "ride of a lifetime" but think of the price you could charge "a current affair" :pig:

how about logging it as In command Under Supervision? ICUS?

Yeah but who's supervising? remember the Capt'n and first officer are off in merry land:laugh:006_laugh.gif.0f7b82c13a0ec29502c5fb56c616f069.gif
