The original plan for a trip to the French Alps did not materialize. The weather was just not good enough for the trip. But we made good with some nice flights, and also I did the two-yearly training flight. The weather would not be good in the weekend. On Friday we returned the plane to its base. But not before we made a visit to Bremen.

Thanks dppintr!

That brings back good memories - we were in Bremen christmas 2017. Kids loved the christmas markets!

Didn't notice the Junkers in the airport, but not surprising as airports are fairly large places - and herding 3 kids takes focus.

Cheers, Marty

That brings back memories of "Flight into Hell" - the forced landing, and struggle for survival, in the remote North-West of Western Australia, by pioneer aviators Bertram and Klausmann, in their W33, in 1932.

I remember watching the mini series as a kid, always thought corrugated iron was a strange material for an airplane from that show.

Thanks for the responses. I did not know the story about the Junkers W33 "Atlantis". Interesting. Thanks for the tip ?
